Educational Content Only
Vorteil Trading Group LLC (operating as a DBA of Roney Real Estate LLC, collectively “Vorteil,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides educational content, software tools, market data displays, and trade-pattern alerts for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on this website, in our courses, in our tools, or in any communication from us constitutes financial, investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice.
Vorteil is not a registered investment advisor (RIA), broker-dealer, commodity trading advisor (CTA), commodity pool operator (CPO), or financial planner with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the National Futures Association (NFA), or any state regulatory authority. We do not manage client money, hold custody of client funds, or execute trades on behalf of any subscriber.
You should consult with a licensed financial advisor, attorney, or tax professional before making any investment decision. Decisions you make based on our content are your sole responsibility.
Trading Involves Substantial Risk
Trading stocks, options, futures, cryptocurrencies, and other financial instruments involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. Day trading in particular is highly speculative and risky. Most retail day traders lose money. You should only trade with capital you can afford to lose entirely.
Trading on margin or with leverage amplifies both gains and losses. You may lose more than your initial investment. Margin accounts are subject to margin calls that can force the liquidation of your positions at unfavorable prices.
Market conditions, price volatility, system outages, broker failures, and other events outside your control can result in significant or total loss of your capital. There is no guarantee of profit and no “safe” trading strategy.
No Guarantee of Results
Past performance is not indicative of future results. Any historical results, backtests, trade examples, performance figures, or testimonials shown on this website or in our materials are not a guarantee, projection, or promise of similar future results. Market conditions change. Strategies that worked in the past may not work in the future.
Testimonials, case studies, and student success stories shared on this site reflect individual experiences. They are not representative of typical results. Your results will vary based on your skill, discipline, capital, risk tolerance, time commitment, market conditions, and many other factors. We make no promise that you will achieve any particular financial outcome from our content, tools, or alerts.
If we display any hypothetical, simulated, or backtested performance data, you should understand that such results have inherent limitations: they are prepared with the benefit of hindsight, they do not represent actual trading, and they may not account for slippage, fees, liquidity constraints, emotional decision-making, or the impact of executing the strategy in real market conditions.
Trading Alerts & Algorithm Service
Vorteil may provide automated or semi-automated alerts that notify subscribers when our software detects market conditions matching patterns from the playbooks we teach (“Alerts”). These Alerts are provided as an educational pattern-recognition service only and are subject to the following terms in addition to all other disclaimers in this document:
- Alerts are not trade recommendations. An Alert is a notification that conditions matching a taught pattern have been detected. It is not a recommendation, instruction, or suggestion to buy, sell, hold, or take any action with respect to any security. Each subscriber must independently evaluate every Alert against their own analysis, risk tolerance, and trading plan before making any trading decision.
- Vorteil does not execute trades. We do not place, route, manage, or execute trades on your behalf. We have no access to your brokerage account. Any trade you choose to enter is placed by you, through your broker, using your own judgment.
- Alerts may be delayed, missed, inaccurate, or undelivered. Our Alert system depends on third-party market data, internet infrastructure, mobile or email delivery services, and our own software. Any of these can fail, lag, or produce errors. You should not rely on the timely delivery of any Alert for any trading decision.
- False signals are inherent to all pattern-recognition systems. Patterns that historically led to profitable setups may fail without warning. Our algorithms may detect patterns that do not result in the expected price movement. False positives, missed signals, and changing market regimes are normal and expected.
- Algorithm performance is not investment performance. Any statistics about how often a pattern triggered, how often it “worked,” or hypothetical returns based on detected patterns are educational measurements only. They do not represent actual trading results and do not account for slippage, commissions, taxes, position sizing, your specific entry/exit timing, or psychological factors.
- Subscriber assumes all risk. If you choose to act on an Alert, you do so entirely at your own risk and on your own initiative. You agree that Vorteil is not responsible for any loss, missed opportunity, or other harm arising from your use of, reliance on, or inability to receive Alerts.
Broker Referrals & Affiliate Compensation
Material Connection Disclosure (FTC 16 CFR Part 255): Vorteil may have referral, affiliate, introducing, or revenue-sharing relationships with one or more brokerage firms or financial service providers (“Broker Partners”). When you click a link, use a promo code, or open an account through a referral from Vorteil, we may receive compensation. This compensation may take the form of, without limitation:
- A one-time payment or “bounty” for each new funded account;
- A share of commissions, spreads, or fees you generate through trading activity;
- An ongoing percentage of the assets you maintain in the account;
- Promotional credits, rebates, or other non-cash benefits.
This creates a financial incentive for Vorteil when you open an account with a Broker Partner. You should be aware of this potential conflict of interest when considering any broker we mention or link to.
We do our best to recommend Broker Partners based on factors we consider relevant to small-account day traders — such as platform usability, commission structure, asset coverage, account minimums, customer service, and regulatory standing. However, the existence of compensation may influence which brokers we mention or feature. You should independently compare brokers based on your own needs and criteria before opening any account.
Vorteil is not a registered broker-dealer, registered representative, introducing broker, or fiduciary. We are not affiliated with any Broker Partner as an owner, employee, agent, or officer. We do not provide brokerage services, hold customer funds, accept securities for safekeeping, or maintain custody of any account. Any account you open with a Broker Partner is your account, governed by the agreement between you and that broker.
Vorteil does not receive or have access to your specific account information, balances, positions, or trade history from any Broker Partner unless you voluntarily share it with us. Broker Partners may share aggregated, anonymized referral statistics with us for the purpose of calculating our compensation.
You are not required to use any Broker Partner to access Vorteil's educational content, tools, or alerts. You may use any broker of your choice. If you would prefer that we not receive compensation from your broker selection, you are free to open an account directly with any broker without using our referral links.
Pattern Day Trader Rule & Account Size
Historical rule (in effect through June 3, 2026): FINRA Rule 4210 (the “Pattern Day Trader” or “PDT” rule) has, since 2001, required that any margin account engaging in four or more day trades within a rolling five-business-day period maintain a minimum equity of $25,000. Falling below this threshold has resulted in restrictions on day trading activity, including being limited to closing transactions or cash-only trading.
Regulatory change — effective June 4, 2026: On April 14, 2026, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approved FINRA's amendments to Rule 4210, replacing the legacy PDT designation and $25,000 minimum equity requirement with a new Intraday Margin Standards framework. Under the amended rule, the $25,000 PDT minimum is eliminated, and margin requirements are instead calculated based on a customer's real-time intraday market exposure (referred to in the rule as an “Intraday Margin Deficit” or “IMD”). The amendments take effect on June 4, 2026, as set forth in FINRA Regulatory Notice 26-10.
Vorteil's current educational approach: Until our broker partners and the broader retail brokerage industry transition to the new intraday margin framework, Vorteil continues to teach strategies optimized for traders operating under the $25,000 PDT threshold. This includes the use of cash accounts, structured trade-frequency planning, and account-size-specific risk management. As the industry implements the new framework, our educational content will be updated to reflect the new opportunities and risks of the intraday margin system. None of these strategies is guaranteed to be effective, compliant in your specific situation, or appropriate for your circumstances. The applicable margin rule is enforced by your broker, not by Vorteil. Interpretations and implementation timing vary by broker. Confirm all rules and limitations with your specific broker before trading.
New framework — key elements you should understand:
- No $25,000 PDT minimum. The categorical $25,000 equity requirement for day trading in margin accounts is removed under the new rule.
- Intraday Margin Deficit (IMD). Margin requirements are now based on the maximum real-time market exposure of your positions during the trading day, not on a count of day trades.
- De minimis exception. Small IMD shortfalls below the lesser of $1,000 or 5% of account equity generally do not trigger restrictions.
- 90-day restriction risk. If an IMD is not met by the close of the fifth business day after it occurs, your account may be restricted from creating or increasing short positions or debit balances for 90 days.
- Broker-specific minimums may still apply. The elimination of the FINRA $25,000 minimum does not prevent individual broker-dealers from imposing their own house minimum equity requirements, which may be higher or lower than the legacy PDT threshold.
Cash accounts: Cash accounts were never subject to the PDT rule and remain unaffected by the rule changes. Cash account trading continues to be subject to settlement rules (currently T+1 for most U.S. equity trades), Good Faith Violations, and Free Riding restrictions. These rules can restrict your trading activity in ways that may not be obvious, particularly for active traders. Verify all applicable rules with your broker.
For the official text of the rule amendments, see FINRA Regulatory Notice 26-10. Vorteil's description of the rule is for educational summary only and is not a substitute for the official rule text or guidance from your broker, your attorney, or a licensed financial professional.
Tool Accuracy & Calculations
Vorteil's tools — including the Risk Calculator, Trade Journal, Stock Scanner, Share Size Cheat Sheet, Market-Open Plan template, and any other software we provide — are educational utilities designed to assist with planning and record-keeping. We make no representation or warranty that these tools are free from errors, suitable for any particular purpose, or accurate at any given time.
Calculations, market data, and outputs from our tools should be independently verified before being used to make any trading decision. Market data displayed in our tools may be delayed (typically by 15 minutes or more for educational scanner data), incomplete, or inaccurate. Real-time prices, executable quotes, and definitive market data are available only through your broker.
You are responsible for confirming all order details — including position size, entry price, stop-loss, target, and risk parameters — with your broker before placing any trade. Do not rely solely on our tools to place trades.
Third-Party Services & Data
Vorteil's website, member portal, tools, and Alerts rely on third-party services for hosting, payment processing, market data, content delivery, email, and other infrastructure. These third parties include but are not limited to: Kajabi (course hosting and member management), Stripe (payment processing), Netlify (web hosting), Supabase (database and authentication), market data providers, email service providers, and others.
We are not responsible for outages, errors, security breaches, data losses, billing issues, or other problems caused by these third-party services. Our obligations to you do not extend to remedying issues arising from third-party failures. Each third party operates under its own terms of service and privacy policy, which you are responsible for reviewing.
