About Vorteil

What is Vorteil Trading Group?

Vorteil is a trading education company that built its foundation serving the traders most underserved by mainstream education — retail day traders working with smaller accounts blocked by the $25,000 PDT minimum. That focus on practical, account-size-aware education shapes everything we do, but our playbooks, tools, and risk management framework work for traders at any account size. A $5,000 trader and a $250,000 trader both benefit from structured setups, disciplined risk management, and better tooling than a spreadsheet.

Who is this for?

Vorteil is built for:

  • Traders at any account size who want structured, written playbooks instead of vague principles;
  • Anyone who wants better tools for journaling, planning, and risk management than spreadsheets;
  • Small-account traders who need PDT-aware strategies (an area we specialize in);
  • Larger-account traders who want disciplined position-sizing, scenario planning, and trade review systems;
  • Traders preparing for the post-PDT regulatory environment that takes effect June 4, 2026.

It's not for: people looking for stock picks, “signals” with automatic execution, get-rich-quick promises, or anyone unwilling to put in time studying market structure and reviewing their own trades.

Is this a get-rich-quick program?

No. Day trading is high-risk and most retail day traders lose money over time. Vorteil teaches a disciplined, methodical approach focused on risk management, pattern recognition, and process improvement. Results depend entirely on your effort, discipline, capital, and a degree of luck. We make no promises about your trading outcomes — see our Risk Disclosure for the full picture.

I have a larger account — is Vorteil still for me?

Yes. While our marketing emphasizes the PDT and small-account angle — because it's where we add unique value — the playbooks, tools, and risk-management framework work for traders at any size. In some ways, larger accounts benefit even more from disciplined structure: bigger positions mean bigger risk, which means good journaling, accurate position sizing, and clear pre-trade planning matter more, not less.

The Trade Journal tracks any account size. The Risk Calculator handles five-figure trades as readily as $500 setups. The playbooks teach pattern recognition that scales with your capital, not against it. The only material difference for larger accounts is that the PDT rule is largely irrelevant to you — but the new intraday margin framework (effective June 4, 2026) still affects how every margin account is managed.

If you came up trading small and have since grown your account, you're likely the ideal Vorteil customer: someone who values disciplined process and isn't looking for stock tips or hype.

Membership & Pricing

What's the difference between Starter, Toolkit, and Elite?

The tiers differ in two ways: how much education you get, and whether tool access is bundled.

  • Starter ($299): 10 hours of education + 1 core playbook. Tools sold separately at $29/mo.
  • Toolkit ($499): 15 hours of education + 3 playbooks. Tools bundled for the first 6 months, then $29/mo to continue.
  • Elite ($749): 18 hours of education + 4 playbooks. Tools bundled for the first 12 months, then $29/mo to continue.

All education is lifetime access — pay once for the content. Tools are a separate subscription because they require ongoing data fees and infrastructure costs.

Why are the tools a separate subscription?

The tools (Stock Scanner, Trade Journal, Risk Calculator, Share Size Cheat Sheet) require ongoing operational costs — market data API fees, cloud hosting, database storage, and software maintenance. A one-time price wouldn't cover these long-term, and we'd either have to charge much more upfront or shut them down eventually.

The subscription model means you pay for what you actually use. Stop trading? Cancel anytime and stop paying. Want to come back six months later? Re-subscribe at the same monthly rate.

Can I upgrade my tier later?

Yes. If you start with Starter and decide later you want Toolkit or Elite, just contact us through our Contact page and we'll get you set up. Upgrades are handled on a case-by-case basis, so reach out when you're ready and we'll walk you through the options.

Why no refunds?

We follow the model used by other serious trading education courses and proprietary trading firms: no refunds, no trials, no money-back guarantees. The reason is straightforward — educational content is consumed the moment it's accessed, and a refund policy on consumed content invites abuse and undermines the value for committed members.

Instead, we offer transparency upfront: detailed descriptions of what each tier includes, a clear breakdown of the tools, sample content where possible, and this comprehensive FAQ. Take your time before purchasing. Any reproduction, recording, screenshotting, or downloading of our content for any purpose outside your own personal study is a violation of our Terms of Service and grounds for immediate termination without refund.

Can I cancel my tools subscription anytime?

Yes. Cancel anytime from your account settings or by emailing support. You'll retain access through the end of the current billing period (the month you paid for). No partial refunds, but no surprise renewals after you cancel either.

Your lifetime education access from any tier purchase is not affected by canceling the tools subscription.

What does “lifetime” education access actually mean?

It means you keep access to the educational content from your tier for as long as Vorteil continues to operate. There's no annual fee, no expiration, no “upgrade or lose access” trap. Buy once, learn at your own pace.

The honest caveat: “lifetime” means our lifetime, not literally forever. If Vorteil ever ceased operations, access would end then. That's the same fine print every “lifetime” subscription has — we just say it plainly.

PDT Rule & New Margin Framework

What is the PDT Rule and why does it matter?

The Pattern Day Trader (PDT) rule, established in 2001 under FINRA Rule 4210, has required any margin account that executes four or more day trades in a rolling five-business-day period to maintain at least $25,000 in equity. Fall below that line and your broker restricts you from further day trading.

For two decades, this rule effectively walled off active day trading from anyone without $25,000 of risk capital — a meaningful barrier for retail traders.

The PDT rule is changing in 2026 — does this content still apply?

Yes — arguably more than ever. On April 14, 2026, the SEC approved FINRA's amendments to Rule 4210, replacing the $25,000 PDT minimum with a new Intraday Margin Standards framework. The new rules take effect June 4, 2026, but brokers have an 18-month transition window to fully implement them.

During that transition, your broker may continue using the old PDT rule, the new framework, or a combination. Vorteil teaches strategies that work in both environments and will update content as the industry transitions. See our detailed PDT rule disclosure for the full breakdown.

Can I day trade with less than $25,000?

Currently: it depends on your broker and account type. Cash accounts are never subject to PDT (but have other restrictions like T+1 settlement and good faith violations). Margin accounts under $25k are limited to 3 day trades per rolling 5-business-day window. Some brokers offer alternative account structures.

Starting June 4, 2026 (subject to broker implementation): the $25k minimum is being eliminated entirely. Margin requirements will be based on real-time intraday exposure rather than a count of day trades.

Verify your broker's current implementation status before making any assumptions.

04

The Tools

What do the 4 subscription tools do?
  • Stock Scanner: Finds momentum stocks matching the criteria from our playbooks — gap %, premarket volume, float size, relative volume. 15-minute delayed data appropriate for educational use.
  • Trade Journal: A comprehensive trade journal with tag-based analytics, chart screenshots, rule adherence tracking, daily review prompts, and equity curve visualization. CSV import from most major brokers.
  • Risk Calculator: Position-sizing calculator with PDT safeguards built in. Plug in account balance, risk %, entry, stop, and target — get back shares, position value, R-multiple, margin warnings, and scenario breakdown.
  • Share Size Cheat Sheet: Quick-reference lookup table for position sizing across tight, small, medium, and wide stop distances. For when you need an answer in two seconds, not two clicks.

All four tools share a consistent design language and work together — the journal pulls from the calculator, etc.

Can I use the tools without buying a tier?

Yes. The tools-only subscription is $29/mo or $249/yr, no tier purchase required. You get access to all four tools while your subscription is active.

If you later decide you want the educational content, you can upgrade to Starter, Toolkit, or Elite at any time.

Is the Stock Scanner real-time?

The scanner uses 15-minute delayed market data. Real-time exchange data is intentionally not included for two reasons:

  • Real-time exchange data adds substantial monthly costs that would push the subscription price significantly higher;
  • Your broker already provides real-time data on your actual trading platform — the scanner is a research and pattern-discovery tool, not an execution platform.

Trading is ultimately discretionary, and not every setup or playbook will be suited to delayed data. The scanner is one input among many; whether it fits your specific strategy is a judgment you'll need to make.

What if a tool changes or gets retired?

We may add new tools, modify existing ones, or retire tools that are no longer maintainable. If we retire a tool you're actively using, we'll give advance notice and, where possible, provide an export of your data.

Tool access does not entitle you to any specific feature or capability that existed at the time of purchase — this is standard SaaS practice. See our Terms of Service for full details.

05

Education & Content

What's in the playbooks?

Each playbook is a detailed, written breakdown of a specific tradeable pattern — what to look for, when to enter, where to set stops and targets, how to manage the trade, and what disqualifies a setup. Playbooks are designed to be testable: you can take the rules and apply them yourself, not just “trust your gut.”

Playbooks are written to work for traders at any account size. They scale naturally — the pattern recognition, entry criteria, and risk-management framework apply whether you're sizing a 100-share or 5,000-share position. For small-account traders specifically, the playbooks include additional guidance on PDT-aware execution (cash account settlement, position-size discipline, limited buying power constraints). Starter includes 1 playbook, Toolkit includes 3, Elite includes 4.

Are the videos pre-recorded or live?

Pre-recorded. The 10/15/18 hours of education in each tier are structured video modules you can watch at your own pace, rewind, and revisit anytime. This is intentional — live content traps people in fixed schedules and is often inferior to well-edited pre-recorded content.

How long does it take to complete the education?

The total runtime ranges from 10 hours (Starter) to 18 hours (Elite). Most students take 4–8 weeks to work through the content thoroughly — longer if you're actively paper-trading or live-trading the setups as you learn them, which we strongly recommend.

You have lifetime access, so there's no pressure to rush.

06

Trading Alerts

Do you offer trading alerts?

An alerting service is currently in development. When launched, it will notify subscribers when our pattern-recognition algorithms detect market conditions matching the setups taught in our playbooks. The alert service will be a separate offering, with details (pricing, structure, included setups) announced as it nears launch.

Alerts will be educational pattern-recognition notifications, not trade recommendations — the trading decision is always yours. See our Alert Service disclosure for the full framework.

Will alerts execute trades automatically?

No. Vorteil does not now offer, and will not in the future offer, any service that automatically executes trades on your behalf. Our alerts are informational signals only. We don't have access to your brokerage account, we don't place orders, and we don't manage capital. The trading decision is always yours.

07

Account & Technical

Can I share my account with my spouse or friend?

No. Vorteil enforces a strict one-user, one-account policy. Account sharing of any kind — spouse, family, friend, group buys, account rotation — is a material breach of our Terms of Service and grounds for immediate termination without refund.

Our platform provider, Kajabi, tracks logins and account activity, and we review accounts for unusual patterns. If a violation is identified, we may lock the account and contact you to address it. If your spouse or partner wants the same content, the right path is to purchase a separate membership for them.

Can I access content from multiple devices?

Yes, as long as it's the same person using all the devices. You can watch courses on your computer, review playbooks on your tablet, and check the scanner on your phone — all from your single account.

What you cannot do is have multiple people simultaneously logged in from different households or locations — that's account sharing.

What if I have technical issues with a tool?

Reach out through our Contact page. We respond personally to every message within 5 business days — usually faster. Include as much detail as possible: which tool, what you were trying to do, what happened (or didn't happen), screenshots if relevant, and which browser/device you're using.
